DALLAS – Senior Lizzy Wendell (Blue Springs, Mo.) of the Drake University women's basketball team was named a 2017 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America honorable mention selection, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Saturday afternoon.
This is the fourth postseason award for Wendell, who earlier this week was selected to the Senior CLASS Award All-America First Team. Last week, she earned AP All-America Honorable Mention accolades and the week prior was selected as an All-Region nominee for the 2017 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team.
In her final season, Wendell, who was named the 2017 Jackie Stiles Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, averaged a league-leading 21.
