ST. LOUIS – Freshman Alison Walls (Kansas City, Mo.) of the Drake University women's soccer team has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Newcomer of the Week for the second time, the MVC office announced Monday, Sept. 24.
Walls tallied the assist on Shelley Lyjak's golden goal against Valparaiso Sunday in Drake's MVC opener. Walls had her shot blocked but got the ball back and passed it sideways to Lyjak who scored from 15 yards out for a 1-0 victory.
This season, Walls has played in all 11 matches and leads the Bulldogs in assists with two and is tied for the team lead in goals with two.
