DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University volleyball team was clipped by visiting UNI, 3-0, in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both teams Friday, Sept. 21, night at the Knapp Center.
Drake (11-4, 0-1 MVC) was led by (Coppell, Texas) 13 kills on 34 attempts as the Bulldogs fell by set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-22.
"Tonight was another tough result as we continued to improve as a team against really tough competition this week," said Drake head coach Darrin McBroom. "We've competed in each of these matches but have not been able to come out on top and that is certainly the next step for our program to take.
