The Drake University volleyball team has signed three student-athletes for the 2021 season, including two Iowans, head coach Darrin McBroom announced Wednesday, Nov. 11. Set to join the Bulldogs next season is Audrey Dennison (San Diego, Calif./Del Norte), Ashlynn Kuhn (Hudson, Iowa/Hudson) and Addie Schmierer (North Liberty, Iowa/Iowa City Liberty).
Kuhn and Dennison are both middle blockers that will continue to solidify the Bulldogs' presence at the net, while Schmierer is a defensive specialist/libero.
Schmierer, who is 5-3, was an IGCA Senior All-Star and a Mississippi Valley Conference all-league selection who set the Iowa City Liberty school record for digs.
