DES MOINES, Iowa – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has honored the Drake University volleyball team with the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2015-16 academic year. The honor is the second consecutive for the Bulldogs.
The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors programs that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average.
"I'm really proud of our team earning this honor for the second straight year," said head coach Darrin McBroom. "This group has done tremendous work elevating our program in the classroom and on the court.
