DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University volleyball team rallied back to defeat the visiting Illinois State Redbirds, 3-2, at the Knapp Center Friday, Sept. 29, evening. The win was the Bulldogs' seventh-straight and opens up a 3-0 start to Missouri Valley Conference play for the first time since 1996.
Drake (14-3, 3-0 MVC) prevailed by set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 20-25, 24-26, 15-13. The Bulldogs' balanced attack was led by three hitters with double-figure kills including senior Kyla Inderski's (Urbandale, Iowa) team-high 15 kills on 45 attempts. She also chipped in 17 digs for her sixth-straight double-double.
