SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Drake University volleyball team extended its season by grinding out a 3-2 win over Bradley in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Tournament Thursday evening at Hammons Student Center.
The Bulldogs were the final team to qualify for the six-team field and upended No. 3 seed Bradley by set scores of 25-15, 15-25, 25-23, 22-25, 17-15.
The victory was the Bulldogs' first in the MVC Tournament since 1998. They advance to face the No. 2 seed, Illinois State, Friday at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
