ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake University's Elle Tubbs (Clinton, Iowa) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Freshman Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, Nov. 21.
Tubbs recorded a tremendous end to her freshman season over the weekend by leading Drake with 17 blocks in a pair of road wins at Indiana State and Illinois State. She also added 12 kills and hit. 258 with a pair of aces.
In the Bulldogs' 3-1 win at Indiana State, she hit .412 with a career-high nine kills and nine blocks to account for 14.
