IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Drake University track and field team opened up its 2018-19 indoor season with a pair of wins in the men's mile and 3,000 meters Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Jimmy Grant Open in Iowa City, Iowa.
Competing against Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois State and UNI, the Bulldogs collected a total of 12 top-five finishes to open the season.
A pair of distance runners led the way for the men as Kevin Kelly (Kilcok, Ireland) won the mile in 4:09.99 while Joshua Yeager (Center Point, Iowa) won the 3,000 meters in 8:32.
