DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University track and field teams closed out the 40th annual Jim Duncan Invitational by winning 10 events on Saturday, April 16.
Pierce Vincent (Fayetteville, Ga.) accounted for two of those wins with first-place showings in the men's 100 and 200 meters in 10.95 and 21.95, respectively. His 200-meter effort came against a 6.4 m/s headwind as Pierce and the Bulldogs faced strong southerly winds all day despite otherwise perfect conditions.
"We won the events we should win, but it was hard with the conditions today to record fast times," said Drake head coach Natasha Kaiser-Brown.
