Three Drake University student-athletes were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team, the league announced Thursday, April 9.
Seniors Aimee Gerschke and Sigurlaug Jonsdottir and sophomore Kristen Giles all earned a spot on the honorable mention scholar-athlete team.
The three selections to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team are the most under head coach Rachael Pruett as the program continues to excel academically. Last season the team posted the highest GPA in the athletic department at 3.73.
The honor was the third of Jonsdottir's career as she previously earned honorable mention accolades in 2018 and 2019.
