ST. LOUIS – Drake University men's basketball student-athletes Garrett Sturtz, Roman Penn and ShanQuan Hemphill were recognized at Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athletes by the conference's sports information directors on Thursday (March 3).
Sturtz was elected to the MVC Scholar Athlete First Team. He is a senior marketing major from Newton, Iowa, who has earned a 3.51 cumulative grade point average.
Penn joined Sturtz on the MVC Scholar Athlete First Team. The Calumet City, Ill., native has achieved a 3.90 GPA in his communications master's program
Hemphill earned an honorable mention nod for his 3.
