VALPARAISO, Ind. – The Drake University softball team returns to Missouri Valley Conference play at Valparaiso for a three-game Missouri Valley Conference series April 6-7. Live stats will be provided for each game as well as an audio stream of Valpo's radio broadcast. There will be no ESPN broadcasts.
Drake (21-13, 7-1 MVC), which had a midweek in-state game at Iowa State cancelled due to inclement weather, went an impressive 5-0 last week, including three-run rule wins, two over Indiana State and one over Big Ten foe, Nebraska. Drake's offense, defense and pitching was outstanding as it scored 41 runs, committed just one error and allowed one run and three total hits in the five games.
