DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University softball team is the No. 1 seed for the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championship this week at Buel Field. The Bulldogs open the tournament Friday in the first semifinal matchup at 4 p.m. The championship's title game is Saturday at 1 p.m. Every game of the MVC Championship will be on ESPN+.
Drake (41-10, 24-1 MVC) enters the 2018 MVC Championship as the No. 1 seed after the Bulldogs claimed their third MVC Regular Season Title to be the top seed as the championship host. The winner of the MVC's three-day tournament earns the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
