LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas City rallied for an 8-7 win over the Drake University softball team Sunday in the team's final game at the Rock Chalk Challenge.
For the second-straight game, Drake (8-16) lost a lead in the seventh inning as the Roos scored two runs trailing 7-6 going into their final at bat in the top of the frame.
Kansas City loaded the bases with zero outs before Alexi D'Ambrosio singled up the middle off . Hupke limited the damage by striking out the next three Roos. She allowed a leadoff walk, a double and another walk before D'Ambrosio's single.
