CHICAGO, Illinois – The Drake University softball team fell to Loyola in the series opener Saturday April 30.
The Ramblers took the early lead in the bottom of the first when Sydney Barnett sent a ball into past the fence to record a three RBI homerun.
In the top of the third, Macy Johnson found an opportunity to advance to third base due to an error by the Loyola shortstop. She then scored to put Drake on the board. Delaney Taylor scored shortly after, to make to a one run difference.
