AUBURN, Ala. – Texas Tech improved to 10-0 on the season with a 4-0 victory over the Drake University softball team Sunday afternoon on the final day of the Plainsman Invitational.
The Drake (5-4) offense was held to just two hits by Texas Tech (10-0), which had another outstanding performance in the circle from Erin Edmoundson. Edmoundson (6-0), who no-hit the Bulldogs Friday in the first meeting between the teams, struck out nine and walked just one in the shutout.
Nicole Timmons (Davenport, Iowa) dropped to 3-2 on the season after she allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
