TUCSON, Ariz. – The Drake softball team (6-4) settled for another split on the final day of the Hillenbrand Invitational at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. The Bulldogs opened the day with another comeback victory over Central Michigan (1-7), this time in walk-off fashion, before falling to Indiana (10-3) in the Saturday finale.

Unlike the win on Friday, Drake jumped out to an early lead against the Chippewas on Saturday. led off the bottom of the second inning with a walk and, two batters later, Emily Valtman smacked a two-out, two-run homer over the wall in left center for an early 2-0 lead.
