GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Drake University rowing team is set to compete at its final regular season regatta, the 2019 MACRA Championships, this Sunday, April 28. The one day event will be contested on the Grand River in Comstock Riverside Park.
Drake will have boats entered in the varsity 8+, 2nd varsity 8+ and the varsity 4+ races.
"Unfortunately this is going to be another regatta for us with no water practice before," said Drake head coach Charlie DiSilvestro. "We enjoyed a nice break for Easter and in a difficult year with so much extra rowing machine time it was a break from the grind we needed.
