PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Drake men's golf team saw low scores across the board in its third tournament of the spring season at the GCU Invitational held at GCU Golf Course March 12-13.
"We had another great tournament," head coach Matt Lewis said. "Our final six or seven holes hurt us today but overall, I'm really proud how the guys competed today. We beat Valparaiso, who is one of the top ranked teams in the Missouri Valley Conference."
The Bulldogs (287-276-288—851) excelled in the second round for their lowest 54-hole total of the season while finishing in a tie for seventh place out of 16 teams but were contending for a top-3 finish all tournament long.
