Redshirt sophomore Sara Rhine (Eldon, Mo.) of the Drake University women's basketball team has been named to the 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 6 First Team, the organization announced Thursday, Feb. 22 morning. The CoSIDA Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
This season, Rhine, who holds a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average in elementary education, is averaging 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Those marks rank third and seventh, respectively, in the Missouri Valley Conference.
