NORMAN, Okla. — The Drake men's golf team placed four team members on the 2022-23 GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) All-America Scholar list.
Jack Dumas, Shayne Patel, Lucas Scherf and Silvester Tan all picked up the All-America Scholar honor for their work in the classroom and on the course.
Dumas just finished his sophomore season for the Bulldogs while Tan was a senior in 2022-23. Both Patel and Scherf were experienced graduate student leaders for the Drake men's golf program.
To be eligible for a GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
