U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Drake guard Roman Penn scored a career-high 22 points with nine assists to lead the Drake men's basketball team to an 85-80 road win at Air Force Saturday afternoon.
The win improved Drake to 10-3 to give the Bulldogs' 10 non-conference wins for the second-straight year and just the fifth time in the last 30 years.
Penn was critical down the stretch, scoring 11 of his points in the final nine minutes, including a key three-point play with 42 seconds left to effectively seal the Bulldogs' first road win of the season.
