DES MOINES, Iowa – The 44th-ranked Drake University men's tennis team upset No. 39 Purdue, 5-2, and snapped the Boilermakers eight-match winning streak on Friday evening at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
"The boys came out and play exceptionally well tonight, and fought off against an extremely tough Purdue team with five of the (singles) matches going to three sets," Drake head coach Davidson Kozlowski said. "Doubles was huge. We went with the changed doubles lineup that we went with against Tulane and reestablished our confidence to being able to close out some matches out.
