The Drake women's soccer team won its second-straight game with a 1-0 win over SIUE Friday evening at Drake Stadium.
Drake (1-1-1) scored in the 84th minute when senior Libby Helverson found Emma Nagel in the box. Nagel's goal was the first of her collegiate career. Helverson leads the Bulldogs in assists this season with two.
"It was a great ball in from Libby and a fantastic finish from Emma," said Drake head coach Lindsey Horner. "They're both capable of replicating those moments in the coming games."
The Cougars outshot the Bulldogs 13-6 and recorded five shots on goal.
