ST. LOUIS -- For the second consecutive week, Drake women's soccer has had a pair of players recognized in the Missouri Valley Conference's weekly awards. Emma Nagel was named MVC Player of the Week while Zoey Mahoney earned the distinction of MVC Defender of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday (Sept. 19).
Nagel scored a pair of goals this past week including Drake's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to South Dakota on Wednesday, Sept. 13 on a penalty kick. Nagel is 3-for-3 on penalty kick attempts this season. She also scored the game-winner during the 58th minute in Drake's 2-1 win over UNI on Sunday (Sept.
