KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Drake University women's soccer team set the tone early in a 3-1 victory to open the season at Kansas City on Thursday, Aug. 18 at Durwood Soccer Stadium.
The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the scoreboard to start the 2022 season. Junior forward scored the first goal of the year just over a minute into the game for a quick 1-0 lead. and teamed up for the assist.
"We were thrilled with the way we started the game," head coach said. "We knew Kansas City would be expansive and if we didn't care of the ball we would expend a lot of energy getting the ball back.
