The Drake track & field teams put together a historic weekend split between the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass., Feb. 9-10.
Three school records were broken, not to mention numerous personal bests and season bests were set between the two meets.
At the Tyson Invitational, Emilie Meyer broke Gina DeWitt's record with her 800m time of 2:08.19. The previous record (2:09.24) by DeWitt was set back in 1995.
Centaine Noom-Duckworth bettered her own program record in the Tyson Invitational women's weight throw with a toss of 19.
