PHOENIX, Ariz. – Led by another solid day from senior Drew Ison (Edmond, Okla.), the Drake University men's golf team finished the two-day, 54-hole GCU Invite in ninth place.
The Bulldogs posted a team scored of 296 on the final day to finish with a team score 877 after rounds of 296 and 285 Friday. Drake finished tied with CSU Northridge in ninth-place, just three strokes behind eighth-place Northern Illinois. Nationally ranked Missouri won the 15-team event with a three-round score of 850.
"Today was more challenging with stronger winds and more difficult pins," said Drake head coach Matt Lewis.
