Men’s Golf in Fifth Place after First Day of K-State Wildcat Invitational

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Drake University men's golf team is in fifth place after the first day of play at the K-State Wildcat Invitational Monday at Colbert Hills in Manhattan, Kan. Drake carded a team score of 597 (291-306), 10 strokes behind Creighton and the hosts, Kansas State, in the first two rounds. Sam Houston holds a one-shot lead over Kansas City in the 13-team field.

Freshman Jack Dumas posted a 147 (74-73) in his debut for the Bulldogs to sit tied for 12th. Dumas tallied an impressive nine combined birdies.
