LINCOLN, Neb. – The Drake University men's golf team finished fifth at the one-day, two-round Git-R-Done Husker Invite, hosted by the University of Nebraska Saturday, April 12, afternoon at the Firethorn Golf Club.
The Bulldogs, playing in their final event before the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, carded a 294-311 – 605 to finish fifth in the six-team field. Arkansas won the event at 290-277 – 567, followed by Nebraska.
Tommi Avant led the Bulldogs with a strong first round in carding a 69-77 – 146 to finish ninth on the individual leaderboard, six strokes behind the leaders.
