CINCINNATI, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati delivered a knockout blow midway through the first half that the Drake University men's basketball team never recovered from in an 81-59 loss Monday evening at Fifth Third Arena.
The Bearcats length and depth stymied the Bulldogs all evening and prevented Drake (0-2) from clawing back into the contest after falling behind, 44-25, at halftime.
"It really was their physicality bothered us more than we had hoped it would," said Drake head coach Darian DeVries. "I didn't think we've matched that very well and we haven't seen that type of length.
