The Drake University men's basketball team won its 11th game of the season in its final non-conference contest with a 98-70 victory over McKendree Saturday, Dec. 29, afternoon at the Knapp Center.
Drake begins conference play next with an 11-2 record, its most wins in program history before the start of conference play. The win was also the Bulldogs fifth-straight win as the team improved to 6-0 at the Knapp Center this season.
Drake recorded 28 assists in the win, the fifth-most in program history and most since 2002. Noah Thomas (Sydney, Australia) led the way with a career-high eight assists to go along with his 11 points.
