With four official practices already in the rearview mirror, the Drake University men's basketball team spent part of Thursday, Oct. 8, meeting with the local media to preview the upcoming 2016-17 season. The Bulldogs return 10 experienced players to the veteran roster while adding a pair of dynamic junior college transfers. Junior Reed Timmer returns as the Missouri Valley Conference's top returning scorer after posting 16.8 points per game to earn honorable mention All-MVC honors as a sophomore. In addition to Timmer, five other returnees have experience as a starter while seven played 10 or more minutes per game last season.
