Men’s Basketball Erases 17-Point Deficit To Remain Undefeated

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Led by 20 points from Roman Penn and a defensive effort that allowed just six second-half baskets, the Drake University men's basketball overcame a 17-point deficit to defeat Missouri State, 68-61, Tuesday evening. The win improved Drake to a school-record 14-0 this season and was the Bulldogs' first game since Jan. 4.

"I love this group and their mindset," said Drake head coach Darian DeVries. "They weren't going to quit. They're not wired that way and it's a reflection of what they've been all year. Once we got our motors going, we were able to get engaged and make enough plays to pull it out.
