DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's basketball team used a 19-0 run in the opening minutes to cruise to a 98-53 victory over Simpson College on Sunday afternoon at the Knapp Center.
After trading buckets with the Storm to open the game, the Bulldogs reeled off 19 points in a row to take control for good. Roman Penn was key in the stretch as he scored 10 of his 13 points during Drake's opening flurry.
Jonah Jackson provided an avalanche of his own minutes later, nailing four 3-pointers in a three-minute span to rattle off 12-straight points for Drake.
