SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Drake University men's golf team recorded a season-best round on the final day of the Fighting Irish Classic Monday at the Warren Golf Course in South Bend Ind.
The Bulldogs tallied a 286 for a total score of 866 (290-290-286) to finish in 10th-place and were just two strokes back from ninth-place Georgetown and six shots from eighth-place Dayton. Host Notre Dame won the event with a score of 822, while Georgia Southern finished runner-up with an 828.
Sophomore Kyle MacDonald fired a career-low 68 to lead the team tied for 17th-place with a total score of 212 (71-73-68).
