Mariah McKinnon, a pitcher from Oxford, Iowa, is the lone senior on the 2016 Drake University Softball team, but that doesn't mean one person can't make a huge impact. Just how much does McKinnon mean to this team?
"In one word, everything," Drake head coach Rich Calvert says. "Mariah is a very caring person. When she leaves, we won't be able to replace her."
McKinnon's willingness to put the team first and her positive attitude are what make her the ideal teammate, but it is her smile that her teammates and coaches will remember most.
