St. Louis, Mo. – Drake University women's golfer Haeri Lee was named MVC Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, Sept. 11 the league office announced.
Lee (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) finished tied for third in the Redbird Invitational at the par 72 Weibring Golf Club with a 54-hole total of 217 (70-73-74; +1) to lead the Bulldogs to a ninth-place finish in their first tournament of the year.
Lee finished in third place thanks in large part to her success on par fives, finishing five-under-par with a scoring average of 4.58. In 54 holes Lee fired eight birdies, 37 pars, and no double-bogeys or worse.
