DES MOINES, Iowa – Construction will begin on the lower level of the Knapp Center later this month of May. The first phase of the Knapp Center renovation will consist of the following:
- Replacing all of the existing seats in the lower sections.
- Creating premium seating sections
- Filling in the four corners of the lower level with additional seating, creating a "bowl" appearance when the seats are extended from the walls.
- Renovating existing office space in Shivers Basketball Practice Facility into a new sports medicine and hydrotherapy area.
