K-State Defeats Women's Tennis

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Drake University women's tennis team played outside for the first time on Sunday and fell to the K-State Wildcats 7-0 at the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.

The Wildcats won on courts three and two, securing the doubles point and taking a 1-0 lead.

K-State used the momentum from doubles to take the first four singles matches in straight sets. The Bulldogs managed to go three sets on courts six and four. Freshman Joely Lomas took the first set 6-4 at No. 6 before dropping the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 to Livia Cirnu.
