SPRINGFIELD, Mass. –The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Monday, Oct. 24 that Drake University women's basketball senior point guard Caitlin Ingle (Runnells, Iowa) is one of 20 watch list candidates for the 2017 Nancy Lieberman Award.
Last season, Ingle was fourth in the nation in assists per game at 6.9 and finished with 229, which is the second-best single season mark in Drake history. She also averaged 9.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game as the Bulldogs went 23-10 to record their second-straight 20-plus win season.
The local product from Runnells, Iowa, has dished out 534 career assists to rank fourth all-time at Drake, seventh all-time in the Missouri Valley Conference and 14th among active players.
