DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake University senior Emma Huston (Des Moines, Iowa) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Elite 18 Award winner, the conference announced at the conclusion of the MVC Championship.
Modeled after the NCAA Elite 89 Academic Recognition Award Program, the MVC Elite 18 award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the MVC's 18 team championships.
The award is the second this season for Huston, who was named the recipient during the cross country season, and the third of her career.
