DES MOINES, Iowa. – The Drake University softball team won their second game in a row this evening with an 8-0 defeat of Creighton (18-14, 0-3). The Bulldogs rode the arm of starting pitcher through six innings in a shortened victory over their former league rivals.
After a scoreless start, the Bulldogs got on the board in the bottom of the second inning. singled to left field to drive in from second base for the first run of the day.
Drake (12-13, 0-3) added two more scores in the third inning when came on as a pinch hitter and walked in a run before sprinted home on a Bluejay throwing error.
