DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought contest to Missouri State, 85-79, Friday night at the Knapp Center. The loss was the Bulldogs' first Missouri Valley Conference loss of the season and snapped the Bulldogs' 47-game conference winning streak that began more than two years ago.
Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) had a career night despite the loss with a career-high 37 points on 12-of-23 shooting. She also added eight rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocks. Her previous best of 32 came in December's home matchup with No. 15 Iowa.
