ATLANTA – Drake University women's basketball junior Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) is an all-region finalist for the 2019 Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team, the WBCA announced last week. The selection committee will select the 10-member WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team from 52 all-region candidates.
Hittner, who is a region 4 finalist, is the first WBCA all-region nominee for Drake since Lizzy Wendell in 2017. Hittner, who has been named the Jackie Stiles Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year each of the last two seasons, is the first Bulldog to be named the conference player of the year twice since Drake legend Wanda Ford in 1985 and 1986.
