ST. LOUIS – Freshman Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) was selected the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week for a league-leading sixth time this season, the league office announced Monday, Feb. 20.
Hittner continues to build on an impressive first season as a Bulldog. She averaged 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in Drake's two big wins over Indiana State and Loyola.
Hittner scored 10 points, pulled down four rebounds, nabbed three steals, had a career-high three blocks and handed out two assists against the Sycamores.
