INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – First-year running back Nick Herman has been again rewarded for a stellar debut season for the Bulldogs as one of 25 finalists for the Jerry Rice Award, Stats Perform announced this afternoon.
Herman has totaled 960 yards on 131 carries for an average of 7.3 yards per rush this season. He has scored six touchdowns, all of which have been on the ground, while catching 12 passes for 113 yards as a rookie.
The Rice Award, celebrating its 15th anniversary season, is named after legendary Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, who starred at Mississippi Valley State University.
