The Drake women's soccer team played 94 minutes before scoring to beat St. Thomas, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Drake Stadium for the team's third-straight win.
"We knew we were going to start today on tired legs with the quick turnaround from Friday, but I'm really pleased for the minutes we got from Vianey Lopez, Brooke Davis, Olivia Bruce, and Tori Ubben," said Drake head coach Lindsey Horner.
In the 94th minute, freshman Makenna Shepard passed into the box to find the head of senior Libby Helverson who then scored for the Bulldogs.
