DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake University head men's basketball coach Ray Giacoletti has resigned his position, Drake director of athletics Sandy Hatfield Clubb announced Tuesday, Dec. 6. Jeff Rutter has been named head coach for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.
"Four years ago, when I had the honor to come to Drake everything I envisioned Drake being has come true and even more so at times," Giacoletti said. "I think we achieved in every aspect other than on the floor with the wins and losses. Now in year four, I think it is time for a new voice.
